Just like the HEAT would not trade WADE for Lebron and OKC would not trade Durrant for Lebron. It has NOTHING to do with skill and ALL to do with THOSE individuals fit their team, their city and have stock in their community.

..And the ONLY reason I think the Lakers would trade Kobe for James would ONLY be due to Lebron being younger....and that is about it.

I am not taking age into account, just basketball ability. Kobe in LA is a special situation anyway, because of his 'he loves me...he loves me not' relationship with Phil Jackson.
