With this transition to MPEG-4 and HD, will the legacy SD boxes still be good for the foreseeable future. I've got a couple Hughes E-25 boxes and was wondering if everything was going the MPEG-4 path at some point.

I don't agree with Joed32 but I don't think it will be in the next couple of years. Directv will have to replace the D12 and R15 with models with MPEG4 capabilities. Right now the H20 and HR20 are leased models capable of MPEG4 they will be recyclyed in the lease system but the volume is too low to replace the millions of MPEG2 boxes in use so it will take a planned low cost model to allow the replacement of all those models. The HR21 and H21 are a start but their cost is still too high to replace all those existing authorized receivers.
