Avast Virus Definition Update Issue

Hello everyone. In my Windows 10 PC, I am not able to update Avast Virus Definitions from last few months. Last Virus Definition was of November2020. Can anyone guide me to solve the Issue? Is any port being blocked or Windows Firewall is blocking the update. Any help would be appreciated.

I don’t use Avast on my Win 10 boxes, I use the default Microsoft AV that comes with Windows. One of my co-workers does, though, so I will ask about your problem.

Is Avast a subscription service? Maybe your support expired.

The one coworker who uses Avast is Working from Home until the can be vaccinated and the Social Distancing restrictions at work relaxed, so I won’t be able to causally ask, sorry.

If updating is a problem, there's a good chance that the AV software has been corrupted. Attack malware will often try to disable AV products at some level.
