Curious as to how many here have had problems with their discs ordered from Amazon UK?

1. they won't play in "region 1"

HD-DVD does not have regions.

Also I got mine from Amazon in the US, no need to order the overseas one.

Title should read Series 1, not Season 1

Edit: err, ok im wrong, they just call it different there? Series = Season in Europe?

And isn't this already available in the states, what's the difference?

A lot of people complaining that because of the packaging, some discs get scratched (not sure if they come loose or what) can't tell from the UK site if it is the same...

I watched Water from Direct last night, but on my 19" so it looked fairly good...

WHile I like BSG a lot, I own the DVDs and am not planning on duplicating just to have it on HD DVD.

I am curious though, to see how the European stuff works and looks.

I got my T2 UK disc in today... checked it out (to see if it played) on my 19"... going to watch in the HT in a little while...

Even Xylon's caps show it looks better than the SD DVD and Dish's HD-lite broadcast. I keep trying to get a set off E-bay for $35 or less. People keep bidding $50. Paying that much for a dead format? What's wrong with people?

Watching (surfing )the US version, disc 1 ... pretty good...will have to hook up the EHDD and compare, but True HD sound alone makes this one a keeper...
