I just got the Sportster from them and I did not have to pay for 6 months. I did because I wanted too, not because I had too. There was nothing even mentioned about that when I was ordering.
It came with a little cable that has a headphone type jack on the end and what looks like a small antenna on the other, but the book doesn't mention it and we have no clue where it's supposed to go.

Glad you like the S50, I know I do. That wire that plugs into the FM Out jack in the car kit is a FM Booster antenna. Don't lose it it, they are rare! If you do not use a direct connection from the S50 to the car radio, this booster wire enhances the FM transmission of the S50 to the car radio.
