I believe it will be, too. I'm not one that thinks a sitcom always has to be total comedy. I like watching the characters grow and react to situations.

After seeing the mothers last week, I've realized I really hate Leonard's mother, and love Sheldon's mother. She may not understand him, and disagrees with his beliefs, but loves him unconditionally and supports everything he does.

Leonards mother is not there to be liked, but I am a BIG fan of Christine Baranski. First remember her from the sitcom Cybil where she stole the show from Cybil Sheppard. I have yet to see a role of hers I didn't like. I think she has Leonards Mom's character nailed.

me thinks this will happpen next season opener:

Raj and his girlfriend spilt up.

Penny & Lenard are at the Vegas alter and say what are we doing this isn't right, they stay together but don't get married just yet.

Sheldon & Amy? Sheldon finally breaks out of that Do fuses role and grows some conohies and finally ask Amy to have sex with him.

Howard & Bernie just stay the way they are, but tell Stuart to hit the road JACK!!

Well, above all it needs to be funny. The finale was too serious, so all these things are going to need to be defused or resolved in the opener in some lighthearted way.

First, they have let Amy get too needy. When they first wrote her in, she was asexual and a Sheldon clone. They have allowed her to be influenced by Penny and she is now needing more. But how do you make it funny? I see several weeks of Amy cutting loose while the rest are settling down before she moves back toward Sheldon.

Same with Stewart. I don't see Howard and Bernadette throwing him out. I see something happening where Stewart leaves on his own. Success or total failure in the comic shop, a girlfriend, etc.

I think we may never see Raj' girlfriend again, or he will embrace her quirkiness. Raj has always been a bit of a chameleon. I think he will go with the flow.

To me, the key is Sheldon. The writers have painted themselves very far into a corner there. Leonard and Penny can't start their own household. The Amy thing is unresolvable as it stands. The job is unsatisfying now. Sheldon is going to have to change radically, and that may be the shark jumping moment.

I really liked the opener. Not all comedies need to be funny all of the time. I like how they are growing the characters.

I liked the opening, but am a bit concerned where they seem to be taking Sheldon. Not sure the show can handle a less selfish Sheldon.

Found it interesting that Stuart is moving into the old Raj role.

It's hard to believe that an infinitely small singularity, in an instant can explode and turn into an infinitely massive universe. Wait, what? oh sorry.

Watching the reruns of Big Bang on TBS from the first few seasons, I forgot how great this show used to be before they introduced Amy and Bernadette as regular cast members. I personally can't stand either, but I almost quit watching a few times due to Amy. The season premier was mediocre I thought. I have a feeling next year, season 10 will be it's last.
