My receiver does not have this feature, could someone explain to me what this is and how it works?

Do I have first find a Satellite manually and then it scans all the TP on that Satellite or will it search the sky for Satellite automatically? I'm thinking about updating my receiver. What would be a good one for around $150 or less?

I use the Traxis 3500 to blind scan, they cost around $100 shipped!

Yes you have to find the satellite first then hit BLIND SCAN and it finds all the FREE channels for you :)

Really a MUST have function for this hobby!

That traxis 3500 is an excellent receiver for the money, I only wish it could pass ac3 on all the channels. I've heard that that issue is being looked into tho.

What blind scan does is goes through every frequency and symbol rate combination and finds the channels. When something changes frequency or symbol rate and you don't know what it is? blind scan. No need to check satellite charts or anything. Just blind scan. You have to obviously be on the satellite for it to work :)

for the sports & feed hunter, blind scan is a necessity.
