The problem of course is that it will be a couple years before they have the 3D extended versions out of all 3 Hobbit movies. Only the first one is out in both 3D and extended. The second one is extended only...

The first one has 3D, extended, & 3D extended available.
The second one has EITHER 3D or extended available, probably next year to get 3D extended.
The third is 3D only, so I assume next year they will release the extended version and the year after 3D extended...
 
I have the 3D extended of Smaug. Been sitting on my coffee table for quite a while. Been waiting for 5 Armies and going to do a binge.
