Blue Led model D12-500

Now that I have that been told how to turn off that irritating blue circle light on my HDDVR

Can you guys tell me how to turn off the blue led on the standard D* model D12-500 receivier Man that led is bright. In my bedroom that led is brighter than led nitelite's that I have in my hallways.

Right now I have a small strip of black tape over the led

I suspect that the black tape is the option.

You mean the D-12 does not work the same way ?
You can't dim the lights like the newer units ?

nope I tried to dim them using that idea.

I guess the tape will have to work
