hi, I have a regular standard receiver with "MAS ULTRA" Spanish package with directv. I was wondering if it's possible to buy a HD Receiver to replace the standard receiver but keep my same exact package without getting any hd channels? I know its weird but I would like to keep my same package and not pay the $10 extra a month for hd channels but would like the hd receiver to order HD PPVs only. thanks!

to Satelliteguys ricky302!Sorry, but in order to activate an hd box you have to have hd service. The only way around that is if your local channels are mpeg4.
