Check out the LNB assembly...they made it EASY to adjust! :up

I have the damndest ideas sometimes.....I still have the dish itself, in pieces, behind my Mom's house, the pole, and half of the mount. I think I might try and bring the beast back to life....stay tuned. :)

I dug it out of the woods this morning....no mount though, or LNB supports... BIG pictures...be aware dial-up guys...:)

I added the name tag pic....Satellite Earth Station Mamou LA, and a couple phone numbers....LONG disconnected I am sure...LOL

depends on what you are wanting to use it for. Ground mount it for a one satellite test dish and it looks like the brackets to hold the support arms are there ... point it at a sat with dvb-s2 and try it lets see if the old fiberglass dinosaur can draw in a signal.

And after much cleaning....looks much better. Still some staining but I don't think its anything some primer and paint won't cover...

Now...what color....Safety Yellow? :D

pickle green , anole green ??
I was thinking maybe some sort of stencil so you could cover the dish with green leaves.
That'll make it yard-friendly; it'll look like a tree from a distance. -
THEN, you use a different shade of green, and paint in a dozen or so anoles.
It'd be a Where's Waldo for all the neighborhood kids.
Attached is a sample (sent to me by a member here, who may care to claim it if he wishes! ) - :D

Well I can tell you what DOESN'T work. And that is spraying latex out of a regular spraygun. My dish looks like a gray orange. I used flowtrol, and thinned and thinned and thinned....just didn't paint well. I may roll it with some other paint to cover it and smooth it out... :)

EDIT: Added a couple pics....the one panel is the best of the four, the closeup is of the worst one....

I dunno,, give 'er a light sanding...
... and shoot another coat!

And remember, nobody ever sees these things up close anyway!

edit:
SKIN.!.?. That'd take one the size of a bedsheet!
Though, I'm not sure a King-sized would cover it!

I'm with the green one>nobody will notice from a distance, that first panel looks super, the 'bad' one, doubt it'll stand out very much from a few feet. I saw a VW bug one time that two drunk teenagers stole and painted with brushes, now THAT was a bad paint job, lol.
