Well they did not say that was the diameter!
Looking at the photo and the way the dish is positioned... wide could mean from the feedhorn cover to the tail of the motor to some people!

If the dish is in decent condition, it's certainly worth $35 for an 8 or 10 foot mesh.
If you can use the feed & LNB that's a plus, but I would probably get a GeoSatPro C2 for C-band only.
If the motor works, great. If not, well... replacements aren't so expensive.
I'd run it with a Gbox if not on a 4DTV receiver.
Make sure you get enough of the pole so you don't need to jump through hoops planting it! -
