C31 won't turn off, blue light remains on

One of my C31s is not turning off. Well sort of. I push power off on the remote or press the blue DirecTV button on the unit itself. The video turns off, blue screen but the unit seems to lock straight up and nothing I do short of the reset button or powercycle works.

Defective unit? Or something else to try?

I have two others which work fine.

No, its a common problem with the HR34. Simply reboot the HR34 and you will be fine until next time.

it could be the software on the client as well, this was a documented bug a while back, your software version on the client should be x6a7 or something similar i think. If its not, then the box may been to be replaced if it wont take a download, best bet is to force a download to the 34 then restart the client. It may or may not work.
