Cable Boxes

Cox Cable in Virginia uses the Motorola DCT2500 box. Will other boxes work? I am looking at buying a Ttistar Masterpiece for 60 dollars including shipping.

If you feel the need to own your cable box, you can do a Cablelabs certified cablecard STB such as the Sony HDD500 or the Tivo Series 3.
