Can someone clear this up for me?

Ok. A, as in 1, Voom satellite was sold to Echostar. I believe I saw a post earlier that one was also sold to Dish. But aren't EchoStar and Dish the same company? Or are the two sales the same satellite? I am deeply depressed about this sale, but we all knew it was coming at some time. I guess we will just have to wait and see how Dish/Echo handle this and what they will do for current Voom customers. Maybe our billing will get lost during the transition period and they forget to bill us for a bit ;-p

Echostar owns Dish network. Echostar has a bunch of companies doing a lot of satellite stuff.

Echostar is the Corporate name of Dish Network.

It is the parent company and holds Dish Network.
