Canada is beating us when it comes to 4K broadcasts.

Rogers cable in Canada is gonna be broadcasting the first NHL game in 4K tomorrow. Kind of sad nobody here in the states is broadcasting any games in 4K. You'd think the Super Bowl would be the first event in 4K, but I haven't heard anything about that. What do you guys think?

Just to further prove my point, Bell Canada is releasing their first 4K receiver. It can record 150 hours of 4K content and it's also compatible with High Dynamic Range (HDR) broadcasting. https://www.bell.ca/Fibe-TV/HD-PVR-Receivers#4k

Checked out the receiver but get:
"The page you're trying to visit contains information about a product or service that is not available in your province)"
Maybe it is only available if you are in the US?

Try switching the province to Ontario (ON).

tried Ontario, likely uses my IP for location.
Think this would require fiber... not too many places with fiber unless you are next door to a head-end somewhere. Have Shaw here, lucky to get 420P HD via their service. Many channels are 360p.
Used to have Bell, miss it since it had more/better HD channels and better receiver/PVRs.
Nice looking receiver though!

Correct, fiber tv would be required, doesn't work with their satellite tv.
