can't change transponder

I have Bell Expressvu and my HD reception is crap in the summer because of trees. There are a few Transponders on 82 that have decent reception. I select them, check switch, and it just goes back to the same one that wasn't working. I now that when there is no signal it searches automatically trying each one but this takes forever. There has got to be a way for me to lock into the transponder I want. Please help, I can't watch hockey in standard definition... Thanks

The receiver automatically changes the transponder based on what channel number you are trying to watch. If you can't get the transponder then you can't watch those channels. Cut the trees are try getting a bigger dish.
