I live in Upstate NY...There is a program on FSAZ, that is only available in Arizona...If I change the Zip code in my receiver to an Arizona zip code, will I receive the local Arizona programing. Thank You for the help.

No. You have to change your service address with Directv over the phone. And since all locals not including NYC are on spotbeams, you have to be within 200 miles or so of the market. The receiver zip is only to align the dish and define local channels over the air.

While he would loose all the local programming he would get FSAZ, the RSN the same as if he was in that zip.

Is that RSN on CONUS or a Spot Beam?

SD RSN's are CONUS since you can get them all with the Sports Pack (except for blackouts) and I do get ch 649 in Austin TX, HD RSN's currently are on spots and supposed to move to CONUS after D10 goes operational.

I doubt it .
If he changes the zip in the rec. it will change nothing as far as his programming goes.

Yea, you're right, I was reading more into it, like he wanted to change his service address, sorry.
