Hi guys I'm located in Central America so here the common signal is Universal Linear so which LNB do you recommend me for this signal a Chaparral or Invacom or which one?

- Invacom SNH031
- Chaparral 11-7230-1

There are other good LNBFs, but I would be inclined to suggest the Invacoms are a de-facto gold standard when it comes to Ku. They have both very low NF and phase noise specs, and their real-world performance is very much inline with these. Invacom provides very detailed specifications for their units compared to much of their competition. That means something to me. I have two Invacoms, one universal and one circular/linear and am very happy with both.

Both of mine worked fine out of the box. This is the first I've heard of infant mortality problems with the Invacoms, but then I'm not a retailer.

I've not seen a lot of reports here on the forum of Invacom failures.
Mine has been excellent since I got it many years ago, but that's just one unit.
SNH-031, Universal Ku, single output.

Is there a large price difference on the two units, locally?

Perhaps there is some other feature to help you decide?
If you would tell us more of the use, or post some pictuers, maybe the answer would be more clear. - ;)

Well actually I wanna use it for a 1.5M dish (which don't have it yet), I want to get amazonas with this dish + LNB so since I'm in central america the rest of satellites we get here are Linear Universal and some satellites are a little bit away (spot beam) so in order to catch them I want a good LNB without needing to get a bigger Prime Focus dish, this is the biggest offset dish I can get here.
