I'm currently on vacation in Chicago until Friday. WOW the OTA channels available are excellent (MeTV, MeTV Too, The U, The U Too, THIS, Antenna, etc). I scanned in 39 OTA channels from my hotel room on the 8th floor using a small 6" pole antenna and portable 7" LCD TV.

Sucks to have the (non)selection of rural America. Got the networks and sub-channels ThisTV and one CW. The problem is[IMHO], no-one knows what is available so no-one asks for them. That, and the sparsity of local advertising dollars, compared to large metro areas. Gota pay the supplier ya know.

Even knowing what is out there doesn't help when the towers are 100 miles away and beyond mountains that are 6,000 feet higher than you or the towers are.

I can get NBC, ABC, LWN, CW and sometimes RTV OTA. That is it. I wouldn't give a flip for any of them except for RTV. RTV comes and goes, depending on the weather.

It might just be worth moving here just for the OTA channels.

This morning we did the "Sky Deck" which is on the 103rd floor. Good place to mount a TV antenna.

Yes, but imagine receiving "MeTV", "MeTV Too", "Antenna", "The U", "The U Too", "THIS" and "WGN" all OTA.

With a major city you would see that

I'd take MeToo....looking at The U and U too it shows the same syndicated stuff that most cities already have
