Ciel-2 Signal Monitoring

7 and 9 are spotbeams. Signal page is funny sometimes. It finds bleed over as it searches for a possible drifting signal.

TSReader shows Transponder 5 is 93.4% null pids. There doesn't look to be any actual audio or video on it. So why are they keeping it there?

A short comment: as I recall the move window for E5 was Jan 15 to March 15. Dish still has plenty of time for E5 as they continue to move content to Ciel-2.

I think JohnH nailed it..they need to notify the FCC before they sign off and move it.

Digiblur, as content is moved over to Ciel 2, are the signals fine tuned then or after all traffic transfer is complete?

Perhaps they are just making 100% sure that Ceil 2 is OK before notifying the FCC they are going to move E5.

All traffic is already moved to Ciel-2. Nothing to view on the last active TP.

Tps 7 and 9

Both my 411 and my son's 722 show almost identical signal levels, and the monitoring software does not indicate that they are spotbeams. That's no proof of course, but it would indicate that they are still coming from E5, since all of Ciel-2's transponders below 17 are spotbeams.
