Gentlemen,

I just bought my second receiver (Fortec Classic NA) thanks to PSB advice.
My qustion now is I have two dishes hooked up to the disecq switch.
The main on motor has a single linear lnb.
The second dish has a linear lnb and a circular lnb.
I am using ports 1, 2 for the second dish and 3 for the motorized dish on the switch.

How will I connect 2 receivers to this setup?
The disecq switch has only one output.

Can I do it without running two cables all the way from the dish location?

Thanks:D

I am SURE you will LOVE the Fortec Classic NA.

You could always just slave the two receivers together with just one run of coax between them!

Do you mean only the sat that the master is aimed at?
So the slave will not change satellites? or move the motor?
What if the master is off?

Thanks,

Yes you are stuck on the same polarity as the master receiver, even when its off it still kicks out voltage! You would have to turn it off with the switch at the back of receiver.

Not ideal but works for me!

Best to only have one receiver hooked to the motor or you will lose your positions!

I assume you have the Invacom QPH on the stationary dish. What you could do is replace the single output LNBF on your motorized dish with a dual output model. Then you would use two DiSEqC switches, one for each output from the Invacom and the other LNBF and run two cables into the house.

You would then be able to get both polarities on both dishes. In any event, only one receiver would be able to control the motor, that's always the case.
