Can the DISH Guides get any more useless? They don't show the actors names any more. The two Sinclair stations both show the same data for the OTA but correct info for the SAT since the threatened shutdown. The two PBS stations have the same problem for about a year. WHAT 'S NEXT ?

Was going to post the same. Over the last few days I noticed a truncated description, sometimes very generalized for shows that should have a full description. And actors names for most channels are not in the listing including all the premium movie channels I get.

I thought I was seeing things. It seemed like something was missing. Hope they correct this soon

Meh, could be worse, instead providing short, but very spoiling descriptions. Such as....

Sing - Wildly successful Open Call Extravaganza fails to save theater.
Star Wars V - The Empire Strikes Back (Mark Hamill) - Father and Son continue to battle for control of the Galaxy.
Citizen Kane (Orsen Welles) - A journalist investigates why a dying man's last words was the name of his sled.
LA Confidential (Guy Pearce) - Officer teams up with unlikely ally to take down their boss's secret empire.
Primal Fear (Richard Gere)- Teen fakes multiple personality disorder to get away with murder.

Thanks Captain obvious.
So just take what I am given and be happy?
DISH has plenty of power over companies providing a service to them.

Your Welcome!:)

I've been a Dish customer for 22 years and this company is NOT the same company that I chose back in 1999.

The guide info has gotten progressively worse. A few of my peeves:

1) Editorializing about the quality of the film. Just give us the facts and leave your opinions at home.

2) Listing the actors/actresses up front, then a half-sentence of description, then listing the actors/actresses again at the end. Just how stupid is that?

3) Stating things like "Bob meets a new girl . . . " Who the f$#k is Bob?

4) And finally, no longer listing any actors or actresses. This inane decision was made about a week ago.

I'm beginning to hate Dish Network. The problem is that I've seen DirectTV and that is awful in other ways.

Now, that's criminal!

They must have fixed the Guide since my Hopper3 shows the full description and also the cast and parental guide. The only thing that is missing is the Reviews description. But I have never used the Reviews to decide my viewing. Of course I had not noticed any problem unless the problem was only for the VIP legacy receivers.

My vip 722k is starting to show actor info again on Thursday 8pm.

Look it up on the internet. Better than some stupid guide that Dish provides. Be grateful that Charlie does not charge a subscription to it.
You definitely are a troll, as someone else named you in another thread.

BTW, If I see a movie that has Pauly Shore, Adam Sandler (and a host of other bad actors listed) there is no need to waste my time and go to the internet to look it up.

And what are you doing here on this forum? Besides trolling? You never have a constructive thing to post.

Yee of only 18 posts: You're not going to get anywhere with that attitude.

I hear this from several. For the OTA part of the guide on my vip211k, at least KATU & KPTV (Portland) is now correct. I wish they would fix KOIN, KGW, and KOPB now.
