Smithsonian, no, too many repeats. But IMHO it's worth it for some of the others like MGM, UHD etc.

Yes or no depends on your likes. For me it's yes as I'm addicted to educational programming (all the discovery and science channels). It offers some difference to the Discovery/History variants.

I wouldn't pay $5 for any sports package but it's just my personal preference.

If the Smithsonian HD channel started to get some new programing I might subscribe to the HD extra package.

It was because of all the repeats that I dropped HD extra.

i will wait....i get all the movie channels free for 3 months anyway. Too bad no Deadwood or Sopranos anymore.

Did you get cinemax free also? I didn't seem to get that with my 3 month movie channel promo. Unfortunately, it seems everything I've wanted to see is on that channel.

I figure HD Extra Pack is worth $5, because it's got at least two movies I want to see every month.

I agree. I tracked my movie viewing for the last few months and watched more on MGMHD and HDNet Movies than I did on Starz. That made it easy to pick which one to drop. I occasionally watch Smithsonian (I wish there weren't so many repeats) and sometimes Universal HD (not as much as a while ago). I suspect that when more HD-only channels become available, they will also end up in the Extra Pack (hopefully without an increase).

I have 2 more months left on my HD Extra pack for free...
If they don't add anything else I will drop it when my 3 months are up.

I forgot about that one, or at least I tried to. :)
In his defense though, I thought He did a good job of getting in shape for it considering his age. I am more impressed with Harrison Ford though, you seen the Indiana Jones preview?
