How do I get a deactivated client to fully drop off my HS17? I returned and deactivated a C61K. It is no longer listed on the my equipment page on the DTV website.

However, it is still listed on the genie 2 info page, and the whole home page. The whole home page lists it as a device that needs attention with a status of authorize client.
It also shows up in the app.

The other clients are correctly listed as active clients working as expected.

How do I get this derelict C61K to fully drop from the server and be permanently forgotten? As I stated earlier, the device was already returned, deactivated through Directv technical support, and no longer shows up on the my equipment page on the Directv website. When I go to the remove clients page in the guide, it is not listed there.

Thank you in advance for your help.

If it does not show in the Remove Clients menu, where does it show up?

It shows up on the genie 2 info page that lists the clients, their status, the tuner counts, the SL5 LNB SWM, as well as the am21 I have. It also shows up in the DTV app. It does not show up as on remove clients page menu page, however.

Have you tried doing a Menu restart of all devices? (Menu>settings>Help>Reset/Restart>All Devices) That may make the HS17 forget about the C61K. If that doesn't work, the only thing that I can suggest is to do a keyword search for CLEARMYBOX. That will clear a lot of settings, and restart the HS17. It will clear your guide data which will take up to 24 hours to fully populate out to 2 weeks.

Unfortunately, neither of these two suggestions worked. The only other thing I can think of would be a complete wipe of the hard drive, and restarting all over again.

Does anyone have any other thoughts or ideas?

Not trying to be snarky or smug, but my suggestion is to forget it. Seems like a glitch and since it really doesn't affect anything on your account or your abililty to watch TV, why worry about it?

They never go away in my experience. I've returned/replaced/upgraded clients in the past and they always continued to show up on my list. They also continued to show up on the website (even though I was correctly never charged for them). It actually made naming a pain bc obviously two clients can't have the same name

join the Cutting Edge program and report it as a bug.

I wonder if for some reason the HS17 still thinks it is connected to the system. No idea if it would help but you could try to remove the coax from the HS17 for about 15-30 minutes and then connect it back and see if it is gone.

I will try physically disconnecting the coax next, thanks. I also thank savarese04 for his insight, as I do not think I will try anything else if disconnecting the server for 30 min does not work.

The main reason why this is an annoyance is because the client still shows up in the app. The fact that it appears on the main info page is not the main annoyance. In other words, I just have to watch which client I select with the app more carefully.

Thanks again to all who posted info.
