1) How do you delete your Locals Channels?

Just got back from vacation and I want to remove
Temporary Locals Channels. Reading suggestions
that say to reload Factory Default Software. If I
do that what do I lose and how do I get the most
current updates?

cant you just do a rescan?
I know in the menus (depending on receiver) you can remove local channels from the list

You can delete channels on a 722 via the remote by pressing menu-6-9.

Same on the 622 and 722k.
