This is the 5 lnb single wire from dish. Fairly recent dish manufactured 3/2013, Do I need 21v or 29v to the lnbs? I think it is 21v but can't verify. What would happen if I used the 29v?

Thank you for your time.

Darla

Used to be the 21v was recommended for the SWM dish, but many people used the 29v, particularly if they had long cable runs I think the latest recommendation is to use the 29v for everything......so basically either will do. If you have a PI of either voltage, use it.

Yes, either works for a swm lnb. For a swm8/16 switch, the 29 volt model is required.

Thank you for your responses!!!!

I know there are 2 ways to wire this: dish-power-swim msplit or dish-swim msplit-power. Does this make any difference?

Thank you,

Darla

Nope, as long as the Power Inserter is in the sequence somewhere ... Also make sure the PI is on the Red (power) locations if your using a splitter.
