Keep in mind, this includes subs that pay for the expensive sports packages. This will increase the average rate.
Really, I remember when TV cost about $20 ....
When I started with D* the package was $ 40, now were up to AVG'ing over $80 ?
I got not problem with em making money, because Im happy with my service. If the prices bother you, there's always OTA.
D*'s growth is up because DISH decided to charge a stupid amount of money for thier equipment now.
Lets see, you get a recvr from D* , pay the up front and the extra $ 5 p/m and your done.
With DISH you get to pay $17 + EVERY MONTH for it for the duration of your time with them.

For EACH ONE? Come on, you know that's not correct. I must have a killer deal then to not pay that for my 622. While Dish is doing some stupid things, Directv sub growth in the US is no different than last quarter, around 100k.
