DIRECTV Catches Hail Mary for NFL Sunday Ticket - Conference notes

I am being told by a number of DIRECTV Commercial retailers that DIRECTV will have an announcement at 11am ET today, and it is expected to be about NFL Sunday Ticket.

If I hear anything I will pass it along.

The announcement is that a MULTI YEAR (8 YEAR) Agreement has been made for NFL Sunday Ticket with Everpass to keep NFL Sunday Ticket, as well as Peacock Sports Pass.

Customers will be able to start up on 8/4 which is 40 days before kickoff on September 14th.

They will be going after bars using YouTube TV. And they will be going after them hard.

Customers who signed up with Everpass can cancel and get it fro DIRECTV as long as they cancel before the season starts.

This deal is for Satellite only... does not include streaming which is someone wants must get it from Everpass.

Prices will be in line with last years pricing and there will be a "small bar" offer.

It was explicitly stated 8 year agreement?!?! The report on Front Office Sports was until 2028. If it is for 8 years, that is a long term agreement!

For the DIRECTV NFL Sunday Ticket feed will be watermarked so that going into bars they will be able to tell where the feed is coming from.

They just mentioned the 8 year deal again and said that it is not in the press release but they are telling dealers that.

Can't say that I would blame any bars that did something like that. They have businesses to run and these companies keep changing the rules.

Current NFL ST customers will be auto renewed on 9/4. They will be still doing the 5 payments.

Red Zone comes with the NFL Sunday Ticket package this year.

Dealers will be able to sell the streaming Everpass Service sometime in the future. But for now Satellite is back.
