DIRECTV Catches Hail Mary for NFL Sunday Ticket - Conference notes

they should try and get it for the residential side also and see if that lures people back:amen. while they were breaking up with AT&T they said they were going to try and lure subs back that they screwed over. and they were going to target them hard.
That is in a contract to Youtube TV which has it as an exclusive. Thats not going to change. I think they have 8 years or so left on that contract.

7 year deal when it was signed, started with 2023-24 season and goes through the 2029-30 season. Yeah, no way YouTube would give up the exclusivity.

I said this before, but I do wish there was a way that you could purchase it through YouTube so they maintain the exclusive selling of it, but then activate it on Dish/DirecTV to save bandwidth for those who live in rural areas. In essence, the reverse of what you can do now where you purchase a package through Dish/DirecTV but you can login with your TV credentials to stream.

There are a lot of bars who have already forked over $10,000 or more to get the equipment installed for streaming via Everpass. They now all know they just pissed that money away.
or....they just paid to future proof their business. Yeah it sucks that it wasn't necessary right now, but they'd would just be kicking the can down the road. NFL ST isn't the only thing you need Everpass for.

Hah. Hard pass on ever going back to DTV. Pricing is ridiculous and the PQ has been severely degraded over the last few years.

Agreed customer service sucks as well

I'm not sure what I would ever need Everpass for (as of this moment) other than NFL ...
I agree that it's not wasting your money unless your not going to be there in a few years, I can see this Streaming NFL sticking for a long time, it's just not required just yet.

So, this year, ST will be on Streaming for Bars/Resturants and Directv, correct ?

Understanding it is ONLY for commercial establishments (ie: NOT residential subs), Everpass is the legal agent for other sports offerings, such as:

Apple TV
ESPN+ for Business
NFL Sunday Ticket
Paramount+
Peacock Sports Pass
Prime Video
CHSN
Victory+
YES Network

And like NFL-ST, some, if not all of these other offerings, are currently available on DTV sat

At a Bar, I guess they could use ESPN+ thats about it, unless your in the NY area where YES would be available.

I don't see them using Paramount + or Prime Video ... outside of Sports, I don't see a need for any of them in a Bar

The commercial distribution doesn't include their movie and series libraries, it's only for select live sports.

The bulk of those deals are non-exclusive. Like Bars can also get YES, CHSN and the rest of the RSNs and team specific channels via DTV or their local cable provider if they're in territory. In Victory+'s case, the page is outdated, the Rangers, Ducks and NWSL left them over missed payments. Many Dallas Stars games air locally on KDFI/27, while for the Atlanta Dream, all of their locally televised games are available on WANF/46 Atlanta and across Georgia on Gray's Peachtree Sports Network subchannels that have widespread cable carriage.

Paramount+ is only for the exclusive UEFA Champions League matches that DTV also carries on channels 9454-9473. It doesn't include any matches that air on CBS or CBS Sports Network, or matches from any of the other leagues that Paramount+ carries. UFC and Zuffa Boxing are handled separately through PPV channels supplied by Joe Hand Promotions in the 9530s.

ESPN+ for Business is the same content on DTV channels 9519-9525, and also available to residential sat customers on the 210s. WWE (including Netflix's Monday Night Raw) is handled separately through PPV channels supplied by Joe Hand promotions in the 9530s.

Apple TV is just the same MLS, Friday Night Baseball and Formula 1 broadcasts that DTV carries.
MLS games are on 9475-9489
Formula 1 is on 9526 (F1TV) and 9527 (Sky Sports F1 UK)
Friday Night Baseball is on 9528-9529
Residential customers can also get them if they subscribe to Apple TV through DIRECTV. Comcast also offers it to their residential X1 customers that get Apple TV through them.

Prime Video is the same Thursday Night Football, WNBA, NBA, NASCAR, NWSL and dozen in territory Yankee games that DTV carries on channels 9548-9550. Some cable providers also offer this package to their commercial customers.

Some hotels and college dorms also provide these channels on their in room TVs, which prevents the shared wifi from getting bogged down by everyone trying to stream games at the same time.

As of right now Peacock Sports Pass is still exclusive to Everpass, which a bar needs if they want to show anything that isn't scheduled to air on NBC or sublicensed to also air on Versant's USA, Golf Channel or CNBC.

You seem confused, sports are the reason for anything on that list when it comes to bars. And ESPN+ and YES would require a commercial subscription even in areas they are available via residential service.

The Netflix MLB exclusives (including the HR Derby) which EverPass never streamed, were on 9547… of this new ST deal includes the 5 Netflix NFL games, I would assume they would be on that channel (Xmas day DH late game may be on a different channel)… and that Thanksgiving Eve game on Netflix would be essential to DTV biz because that's one of the busiest drinking nights of the year

It will probably be a separate channel. The Netflix MLB channel on 9547 uses a MLB supplied feed, the rest of the time its streaming feed is showing the same MLB demo loop that's on the MLB.tv channels in the 1200s

I don't know if you got Directv by satellite or internet, but my internet connection pq is excellent.
