I live in Canada and have a single 1.2 meter round dish just to get the main channels on satellite 101. If I wanted to get the national HD channels on 103b, can I just get another round dish pointed to 103 to accomplish this? Would it work? I can't use a 5 LNB slimdish because I live too far up north for it to work.

IF you can point it at the 130 sat and have LNB's that will pick up KU, or is the new Ka, I can't remember at the moment.
Whichever is the one you cannot pick up with the old set up.

You have to have a KA band dish setup thats capable of receiving the KA high/low signal. No ordinary round dish is capable of doing this. So the answer is no.
