Just kidding!
When I hooked up my 61.5 dish to a single receiver a few days ago the screen froze and seemed to show extra Hi-Def channels without info. I softbooted and they were gone. At the time I hoped it was a test but didn't want to get my hopes up . 
Good move on Dish. The question is where are these coming from (satellite).
RUSH HD - extreme sports
Gallery HD - Art, sometimes classical music
Rave HD - Concerts (rock, pop, jazz)
Ultra HD - fashion
Equator HD - travel
Monsters HD - monster movies
Animania HD - cartoons
HD News - 24 hour news service
How are they going to run these two movie channels. On VOOM it was 2 movies per day. Out of the 10 movie channels they grabbed two of the most undesirable channels. I would trade these two for FilmFest and WorldCinema. Much better selection of movies than these two. There is nothing to do with rights to the movies. Rainbow (who owns these channels) already have rights to all the movies. I do not think Charlie knew these channels well. The movie selection on these two channels are not very good at all. It would have been better if charlie had negotiated two film channels with multiple selection from their 10 Cinema channels. The other channels you guys would like.

Ahhh, so E* gets around the FCC ruling for the voom sat by having voom "sell" them the programming on the rainbow-1 sat. This way they dont need to move around any existing programming on the E* 61.5 sat.
I'm assuming voom is converting these channels to mpeg2 as we speak.

Well I just hope they put all the new HD on the Satellites that are running most of the HD content now. I know allof of folks are say the new Voom HD will be on 61. But from the pics I have seen their still showing they will be where the others are now.But as Dish adds more they will be MPEG4 once every gets their MPEG4 receviers. So untill you get a MPEG4 receiver it will not really matter how the channel is being broadcast.

and launch the VOOM 21 HD Originals, an innovative suite of 21
high-definition channels, for distribution to cable operators and
satellite TV providers. Rainbow also announced today that it has
concluded its first major carriage agreement for the channels with
EchoStar Communications Corporation, which will carry ten of the HD
channels on its DISH Network, expanding to carry all 21 channels by
2006. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Dish only has room to broadcast the channels from 61.5.
Dish currently does not have room to broadcast any new HD from 110/119.
The do have room on 148 to mirror the channels though.

Well sounds like they are going to be moveing some thinga around so we will see. I see them moveing the Voom HD channels where the rest of their HD Channels are. Would be stupid to put them some where most of their Customers can not view them. Plus agian in the long run once folks get on MPEG4 should free up space to haveing Room should no longer be a issue. That is one of the main reasons going to MPEG4!
