...AT THIS POINT, there is a SlingBox HD and there is the 922, which are capable of "slinging" HD, but I do NOT think there is anything capable of Catching in HD. I believe this is mostly a matter of bandwidth...

The SlingCatcher can catch HD given sufficient bandwidth, such as within a hard-wired home network or if your broadband service has sufficient upload speed you can do it remotely too.

Dissapointed in:

- No 2 TV HD capability.
- No good explanation on the benefits of the touchpad
- Worst: No new HD!

But CES isn't over. Maybe another announcement later. Might as well make as many big splashes as possible to get the most press.

Nobody has two physical HD outputs on the same box, but HD streaming in the background should get you the second TV HD playback.

I don't think they will say anything about the new HD programming, the new sat is still testing at 138W, before it moves to 129W, alive and kicking, I would not say anything.

E* wants you to buy or lease another receiver for the second TV's HD. More money from DVR and lease fees potentially in their pocket that way. Sooner or later if they stay with the two-TV boxes they'll have to support two HDTVs since HDTVs will be all there is.

Dude, if I had an egg for every time someone mentions some feature they used to have on their ReplayTV, I would already be dead from Cholesterol poisoning. ;)
That one is a complete myth that was debunked about 20 years ago.

Eating cholesterol does not raise your cholesterol levels.

For example, in a nursering home, they discoverd that one elderly resident was eating two dozen eggs a day. His blood tests showed perfect health.

And aside from that, blood cholesterol levels are not very well related to heart disease, it turns out that statins help prevent heart disease by a separate mechanism not related to blood cholesterol.

To me this is all smoke and mirrors on echostar part, I feel most dish customers want a dvr whether hd or sd and more content whether hd or sd to watch. Harv:)
