My point was the only reason Dish might pretend to provide support is to snag hackers.

not all people who buy satellite equipment, do so to pirate signals

I think everyone who makes it past their first couple of posts at satellite guys realizes this and that is why we are here instead of elsewhere.

i just didnt understand how DN could assume the brand and not provide warranty and support.

I hope they do provide support. I'll be really surprised if Dish provides it though. I know they are sueing Sonicview as well. To provide support for the coolsats would weaken their assertion that everyone who owns an fta stb hacks.
