You can write/download apps for the roomba vacuum.
Maybe they will make a 922 app that will make the roomba vacuum the room when the TV is off, and when you take the 922 out of standby it causes the roomba to return to base...

I imagine standard Yahoo Widget style apps; tons of weather, stock, and notifier apps. Probably nothing too rich like a dedicated video player (Netflix
). But, who knows.
I thought the app written is what controls the 922, allows you to manage your DVR with full video support working with the built in sling
The 501 was problematic with its tuner failing. I even had one have its hard drive go out in it. I had an issue with a 522 along with someone else I knew but they were a bit more solid than the 501. The 722 has been rock solid except for a few software glitches.
