Yea, after I brought home dish #12 my wife said no more or it's going to be her or the dishes.
Hmmnn.. I thought. Dish #13 and no wife! I might like that.

I had that same ultimatum at dish #10 (from "MY" wife that is...not yours.); it was a tough decision....

This actually EchoSat Dish , was used for Point-Of-Sale network(credit cards,EBT), most of it now on DSL.

You are right about that. At the other Clark station you can read the name on it. At a quick glance I thought it said EchoStar. But I looked again the other day, it is still up there and does say EchoSat.

Are all edwards jones places no longer using their dishes?

The guy where I took down one of the 1.8m dish said they stopped using it 10 years ago and switched to "phone wires" as he put it.

Notice the H-H drive. Commercial system for up to 15' dish.
Sold only about 3 total back in the day with CM 10' SMC dish.
Top of the line +++.

I would have to say no with what happened this morning. I went to the first EJ and their dish left the building about two years ago. The other EJ across town had a BIG, BIG, one on a big pole attached to the side of the building. The manager there stated they get a "few" things from that one. Made me sad. That thing may have been a 1.8m.
I sure have not had much luck in my area with getting dishes. I am now 0 for 5. Not a very good score.
I have my eye on a monster that I will take some pictures of soon. I don't think it is in use anymore but need to check with motel owner. Only problem with that monster is I would need a crane to pick it off the pole in the center of the building.

I was told "no" by the two Edward Jones offices in my area with 1.8m dishes. Then one called back almost two months later and let me take it.
Don't give up. :)

Not my dish .... BUT -- It's one at work!!

The C-Band dish that is on 87W (we receive that Religious MUX, plus AP) needed to be swept off twice this morning so far. Here's two of our guys finishing the job.BrianandTedSatellite.jpg

Do you think I should go and ask?
With a track record of 0 for 5, I may still be out of luck.
Do you pros have an idea of what it is?

Paraclipse Classic. Ask. Worse case scenario: No.

Definitely a Paraclipse. Ask!

I didn't ask, and ended up having to roll one a mile down the street to my house when it was put out for the trash one morning.

They don't roll easily.

Track record getting worse.
Stopped at farmer brown's house yesterday.(not really his name, but in farm country) Ask him about the old dish in his yard must not be in use since it was pointer Northeast. Wondered if he would like it removed. He was told by the seller, many years ago, that if he ever wanted to get rid of it to call him. He takes them to "other' places and puts them back into some kind of use. So, another NO was at this place. Now I am 0 for 6.
Just don't understand how some of the Satguys just drive down the road and the dishes just jump right into your truck. Maybe around my area people like to keep them for yard ornaments?:(

Found another Ed Jones place I need to check out soon. Last two stated they were in use. ??

In general, there are almost no BUDs around here anymore. Pizza companies must have arrived early in this region. But I was driving in central Nova Scotia last week and I found an area suspended in time. Along a 50 km stretch of old highway off the beaten track, there must have been at least a dozen or more 10-foot white dishes at different farm houses, most of them solid dishes. All mounted on the same style of concrete footing, probably installed by same guy way back when. It makes you want to get a group of guys together to bring in a rental truck and offer to take them all away.
