That is my understanding too.

FWIW the Austin HD Local channels are not listed as even being up-linked on 61.5 anymore due to the 'duplicate channel number bug' in TSReader. But my new wing dish for 61.5 picks them up just fine

Your understanding is correct. The Austin HDs were not in the report last week, but info in the thread last week listed them as uplinked and available.

How are they keeping the receivers from getting confused with the same channel numbers being used in different spots? How does the receiver match the guide data?

It must be some new system they have to save on channel numbers. Eventually adding another 1000 channels would rack up the numbers.

The death spiral continues a Dish Network. Time to look at alternatives.

Most of it is automated now. Maybe all, he says with crossed fingers.

Transport ID is part of the "picture" in determining the where. Package codes are what actually says "available".

Thanks for the updated list JohnH. I turned in a request to Rod about TSReader's NIT/SDT parsing bug but I haven't heard anything back yet.

They are definitely doing something weird as I was scanning around in DVBDream last night and noticed it too was picking up the wrong names.

Anyways, have a contact at Dish that has always been reliable but even he does not know any exact dates for new national HD (he has been able to tell me before). All he said was 24 new national HD within 6 weeks, which is not really anything new or hasn't been said before, but I thought I would chime in, say hello, and if he comes up with anything more substantial, I'll let you know. I'm sure, though, that Scott's sources are just as knowledgeable.

Despite global climate change, I think the chances of Hell Freezing over are considerably better than seeing BSG in HD on Dish tonight. I cannot find a Las Vegas line on those events, however.
