First of all, I never suggested that 281,000 subs went to Direct TV or ATT. The post I responded to stated that people left DISH because they were pissed about disputes. I simply suggested that there are other reasons to leave, including an offer from ATT to get unlimited wireless data with Direct TV. Verizon no longer offers unlimited data and many customers value that.
As far as the "facts at hand", you seem to pretty regularly have your own set of facts. How do you know that "dropped channels piss people off", other than a handful of responders on this online bulletin board. SatGuys is a great forum and wonderful resource, but it is hardly a barometer for what the typical satellite tv customer is doing or feeling.
I simply asked "who polled these people". I think that's a legitimate question when someone proposes to speak for a large group of people. If it's just a hunch, guess, or opinion that's perfectly okay too but should be identified as that.
You seem to just wander around the forums, looking for someone to pick a fight with. Find someone else, I'm not interested in your silliness.
That's the Difference between you and me, I go by what the real world thinks, you go by what's posted on SatelliteGuys.
You think Dish losing customers because of other people bundle packs, and nothing to do with channel disputes?
That's what SatelliteGuys Dishnetwork fan members say.
Anything to point the finger away from reality.
Same with this Flex pack, Like it's a massive breakthrough in the real world of Dish Network.
But Yet, we all seem to forget that The Welcome pack, Smart Packs and Dish America packs, Bronze Silver and Gold ,Heartland pack, Outdoor pack, Sling TV and many other Under $50 packages have been around for YEARS, and Guess what..
STILL can't net a subscriber, and dropping subs.
At this rate close to a Million customers from that once High 14.2 million.
Sorry but dish is working in the wrong area IMO.
But what ever. Just wait till 3rd quarter.
And while profits are up now, they will drop far quicker when these reports start to reflect effect of missing subscribers.
While a repackaging is nice, It still doesn't make your channels more secure, your HD PQ any better, Or your wallet any less smashed than before.
Most of the ones bragging about there massive savings, are also the same guys that Buy their equipment at retail which is IMO throwing your saving right out the window,
or switch Providers every other year, or call in and beg for charity.
95% of customers don't do this.
