Do I have to resort to a manual timer?

I have missed a scheduled DVR event twice in the last few weeks. I set up a timer to record the NCAA title game and the Cavs/Pistons game yesterday. I checked the scheduled recordings and they were all set to record. When I get home from work, the events did not record. I noticed that the show info for both was generic when I set up the recording, like NCAA title game, teams TBA, and NBA playoffs, 1st round game. At some point, the show info becomes specific, and says, North Carolina vs. MSU or Cavs vs Pistons. When they change the show info, why does it erase/cancel my timers. Do I have to resort to a manual timer?

Setting a manual timer is your best bet.

If the name changes, the receiver can't find it.
