Amazon's Firesticks and FireTV's have a feature called "Live" that provides a listing of the programming on many apps collated into a single menu similar to the sat and cable listings. The demise started when the Internet took over the way we watch TV ... aka the age of the "No Attention Span".
People have always complained about Customer Service, then again, people complain about CS for Every company from time to time.
When they decided to quit making new recvrs and quit sending new Sats up into orbit was the real start of the demise.

The RSNs were created, one after the other after the next, on the premise of milking the public harder & harder for sports revenues. They were put into basics packages so everyone could share in producing the sports revenues, whether they wanted any sports or not, and many have consequently cut the cord.You do know, that RSNs receives extremely low ratings, the majority just do not care about them.

Instead of them taking over and dealing with DISH and Cable, they now had Streaming to deal with as well ...
As many are finding out, you have the loss of Channels with Streaming as well ... pricing disputes.
