Do people still watch satellite TV these days

That's what our first installer told us. the ones that still have sat t.v. are the old folks:biggrin. for us the channel lineups are not there yet for one app!!!
Amazon's Firesticks and FireTV's have a feature called "Live" that provides a listing of the programming on many apps collated into a single menu similar to the sat and cable listings. And of course there's the voice command feature as well for quickly finding desired programs.

Direct was better in the 90's before att wrecked it ;)
WOW .....
ATT didn't get involved with it till it was already on its way down that slide.
ATT wasn't doing anything with it till 2015-16 ish

Yes, D* was better back then, as everything was cheaper.

The demise started when the Internet took over the way we watch TV ... aka the age of the "No Attention Span".

People have always complained about Customer Service, then again, people complain about CS for Every company from time to time.
When they decided to quit making new recvrs and quit sending new Sats up into orbit was the real start of the demise.

ATT didn't help it any, nor did the company that took over after TRG, (they were basically a Banker, nothing more) TGR can never remember.

So basically, your describing Cable.

There was no company that took over for TPG. TPG bought DIRECTV from AT&T and now fully owns DIRECTV.

Question for anyone who has received a refund after cancelling DTV
