I think the 410 has a button cell like a DSR 905 and the Starchoice DSR-405 cousin I have. You can use any lithium battery that the 4DTV's use, be it a button cell or a axial lead type. I was thinking about replacing the battery in my 405 with an axial soldered to the bottom of the PCB. Then just clip the leads on the button cell.

I noticed the 410s I have as well as my old Voom receiver have some sort of tamperproof looking screws in them. Although visegrips or something similar would remove them, what do others do to protect the surrounding areas of the housing from damage without using the proper tool? Any secrets?

It's a Jerrold Starbit used for the old Jerrold cable boxes on my 405. I bought one many years ago from someplace. My 922 uses T15 torx screws.

How about using a dremel tool and put a slot in the middle of the screw then use a screwdriver :)
