I just started using DVB Dream and Have experienced a problem with Standard LNBF.

The software works ok with a Universal LNBF but I cannot get it to work with a Standard LNBF.

I have selected na bandstacked FSS in options/diseqc for G18 and am using a BSC321S. This lnbf works good in ProgDVB but not in DVB Dream.

What am I missing?

Have you tried selecting Ku-circular? Or you could select "other" and enter 10750. I think the BSC321 is a single standard lnbf so that should work.

Ku Circular

Starman-

U Da Man :hatsoff:

I selected Ku Circular and it comes up 10750 correct for a Standard Single LNBF.

Brent-

That's right!

I was able to take full advantage of the BSC621-2 by selecting Diseqc 1.0 and setting C-Band port one and KU Band Universal port two. Works just the way you like it to. :D :luvlove:

Now if I can figure out why I see all the correct channels scan but there is only a partial list of them shown in the channel list. !sadroll

DVB Dream Positioner Problems

I have a Stab H H Motor on the dish and the software actually changes the positioner to that when I change it to Generic Diseqc. I have to go through several iterations. Set to USALS (which it does not do) in options goto positioner window select satellite click on modify click on send click on goto XX then click on send two to three times to move the dish. It does not save this after I have scanned and found channels. to goto a scanned satellite I have to go to positioner, select satellite click send, gotoXX click and then send two or three times.

Anybody have similar problems with positioner and storing sat positions????

Yes, I have had those headaches with Dvbdream. I don't use the positioner menu any more, I just disabled the usals, positioner, and entered raw diseqc usals commands in the diseqC menu for each individual satellite, no positions in the motor to get corrupted and lost in a re-set. I see you are using a twinhan so not sure if that would work for you, it doesn't work with my Twinhan 1020a but does work with the Skywalker I.

Do you mean the diseqc menu or the positioner menu?

Did you use the positioner menu to get the raw diseqc command string?

If you mean you entered them in the diseqc menu, how do you do that?

Thanks for the reply and your help. :)

Enter the raw diseqc commands in the DiseqC menu....options-DiseqC, highlight a satellite, select properties, select raw diseqc. Dvbdream doesn't generate the correct commands, you can get them from Mibi's skystar II positioner plugin if you have that card, I believe Alt-dvb will generate them with most cards. The newest version of Tsreader will also generate raw diseqc commands. Once you generate the command for that particular satellite, copy and paste it into the raw diseqc box in Dvbdream. You have to do this for each satellite, but you only do it once. LIke I said before, not sure if this will work with your Twinhan, you could give it a try. The drivers for the earlier twinhans would only handle 8 bit commands(diseqc1.2) where the Usals commands are 10 bits. Your Twinhan is newer so there might be a chance??
If you don't have the means to generate the commands, give me your longitude and latitude along with a couple of satellites you want to receive and I'll generate them for you.

The ten byte commands did work for me in the past on a Twinhan. But they have to be calculated for your lat long. The 8 byte commands are simpler

Here are the eight byte commands.

I preset the motor to the satellite in ProgDVB then I go to DVB Dream and in the positioner window I see I have Signal Strength and save that as a stored position. It seems to work.

Jerryt-

Do I follow Starmans instructions but associate the satellite with these 8 bit strings?
