If so, look for Dish to do an extended free preview, just like they are currently doing with Showtime. Dish is making an effort to give us more entertainment options at no additional cost, for people who are stuck staying at home during the coronavirus crisis.

The key part is the "Available (Limited)" portion. This means that the channels are only available to some unknown group, presumably for testing before rolling them out to the general public. When these channels go public, there will be another uplink report to remove the (Limited) part, changing the status to simply "Available."

OK, thanks, did not understand the available "limited" meaning. Looking forward to getting these additional Encore channels in HD.

While you may be correct I have to put out there that, historically, when channels are uplinked for testing they have always said TEST not Limited. I agree that these channels are for some unknown group, we just don't know who or why.

Actually, I expect the opposite, at least on Eastern Arc. When the HD feeds are rolled out to the public, those SD feeds will likely be removed from Eastern Arc, or at least moved to the 77 satellite where fewer people will see them.

I forgot that there was already an Epix preview scheduled to start when the Showtime preview ends. So, I have pushed back my guess about the timing of the Encore preview, to have it starting when the Epix preview ends.
