Exede/Gen4 Mobile?

Given the original spot beam technology, the answer is no. Specifically I'm referring to Spaceway and similar offerings. If/when you travel outside the coverage of your assigned beam, no service. Not that it can't be done eventually, it's a matter of improving technology between the server farms and the earth terminals.

More recently, Exede was the first to include this capability through a newer generation of satellite, but it's limited - and not cheap. Right now it's only for selected Jet Blue aircraft and commercial interests like network TV trucks. So we're talking commercial accounts here. There is some speculation that Hughes might have something up their sleeve to extend such a capability to consumer accounts, but there's really nothing in writing yet.
