I am seeing extreme lag when liking posts, or adding quotes to a new post, this morning. Actual viewing seems to be zippy. What's going on here?

I have been trying to mark a whole thread in another part of the forum "read" for the last 30 minutes! Talk about "extreme lag". And finally it worked. So whatever was causing this extreme lag has apparently fixed itself. Weird. No other websites I have visited this morning exhibited this behavior.
No, it is not fixed. I've been trying to like a post in another forum and it still won't let me. It times out and the horizontal blue (for me) bar across the top and the 3 short bars at the upper right just sequentially pulse and then go away without the "like" ever happening.
Looking at the log one of the external services we use is currently having issues and showing a 503 service unavailable error.
I have turned off that Plugin temporarily which should fix the issue. It only kicks on on certain posts which is why sometimes its slow for some, and fast for others.

I was driving and started getting texts from the server there were issues. So I had KE4EST fix things.

I have been following an issue with the push notification service.
Since it is built into the forum software I am not quite sure how to turn it off.

Just got a 502 Gateway Error when trying to come back to the site ...
Tried again and came right up.

That was me. It seems as one of resolvers was not resolving and causing the issue. I changed them to other ones and rebooted the server.
