I am really shocked by this. I thought he's give it at least one more year after last season. I guess going out on a high note.
Being a Packer fan, I am sad to see this day, but so proud of what he has brought to the Packers. Very exciting QB to watch evey game he played in, even if it wasn't a good game, he was still fun to watch. Now I wonder how well Rogers will do. I actually feal sorry for Rogers, how do you take the stage after one of the greatest ever just left the stage.
At least he had the decency to get it over with early (by his standards) rather than waiting until after the draft.
Did you noticed the press conference....it's not like Team management was really sad to see him go. I am willing to bet he will play for another team next year.
He has played his last game.... sure was a great run. Maybe the vikings, lions, and bears have a chance now.

he is done salsa. He is under contract through 2010 and there is no way if he didn't want to play for a young and up-and-coming team he would go somewhere else. Plus the fan base would burn storm the city if they traded him. Also he has said recently he would not play for anyone else.
Maybe the Vikings and the Bears. My 3 yr. old could QB the Packers, and they would still beat the Lions. (At least at Lambeau Field).
IF I had a nickle for every pro athlete that said "there is no way if he didn't want to play for a young and up-and-coming team he would go somewhere else" or "he would not play for anyone else".....I would be the richest man in Miami!
ALL I am saying, do NOT be surprised if he plays with another team next year.
There were rumors of this floating around last week when the Packers.com webmaster accidentally put up the webpage with the news.
Favre has a press conference today. I still won't believe he's retired till the Packers play the season without him.
