After years of trying to get accurate information from Cox about their Cloud DVR, I finally found someone who knew what he was talking about. Unfortunately he was out to lunch when I showed up at the local store.
The kid who approached me when I walked in the door, insisted I would need to get the Cox Panoramic WiFi to get the cloud DVR. I finally convinced him that since everything would be hard wired with Ethernet that WiFi was not going to be involved.
I finally asked for the manager. He wasn't anxious to talk to me, since he could probably see the steam coming out of my ears. After about a half hour we had both calmed down and had everything setup the way I wanted it.

Now I need to view about a few dozen recorded shows on the Hopper, while also learning to use the new Cox Cloud DVR. Cox also makes it difficult to find instruction on the details of how to get the most out of their system.
So does Dish still have a way to put my service on hold (while I watch all my recordings) without loosing my no longer offered program package, just incase I determine that I can't live with the Cox system?

There is a PDF manual for the hopper 3 it's like 50-60 pages long though.. don't ask me how i know this :biggrin. you should be able to call in for either company and get tech support also!!! WTF are you paying them for

I live in a mobile home park. I get to pay for Cox TV as part of a bulk package weather I use it or not.
I have 2 choices for internet Cox or AT&T. Not interested in AT&T at any price.
I have looked at Starlink, but it wouldn't realy save me anything and the speeds are slower than what I have now.
5G is no go because I am in a valley and signal is not reliable on my phones so I doubt it would work for computer and streaming.

I have talked to many Cox tech support folks. I have found 4 or 5 in the past 12 years that know more than I do, and 2 of them were in the past week, one in the store and one on the phone.
