I am a recent Direct customer, with 2 regular receivers, and one HD. I am an OTR driver, and wish to take one of the regular receivers with me on the road. I am making arrangements for the dish, and mounting hardware, but now I need to know the easiest, and hopefully not cost prohibitive method of finding the satellites and getting the picture on my screen. Can you guys/gals tell me where to find the information, please.:hungry: I am chompin at the bit....:)

The easiest method is to purchase a cheap digital signal meter, and peak the dish in with that.

The cheapest method is to use the signal meter in the receiver and peak the dish that way.

The most important part of using the presets given to you based upon your zip code is that the mast is perfectly plumb.

When looking for a location to place the dish, you will need about a 30 degree arc in the sky for a dual or triple LNB dish (+/- 15 degrees to either side) and a +/- 5 degree vertical arc to ensure a reliable signal.
