I'm on vacation and I resurrected an old FireTV Stick with which to watch DishAnywhere. It's been offline so long it demaned I go to dishanywhere.com/activate and enter the code on the screen. This is the result:
Follow the instructions on your device, then enter below the activation code generated on your TV screen.

(Code entry field expunged.)

Success! Please check your device.
I can check my device until hell freezes over, but it fails to activate. Got any ideas?

Have you checked to make sure the app is updated?

Easier said than done. I see no option to check for an update. It's running 2.5.10. I'll try de-installing and re-installing and see if that fixes anything.

Edited to add: It's gone and searching for the app again results in nothing to install. :crying

DishAnywhere doesn't show when I search. I worry my oldest FireTV Stick is no longer supported. This is the old HD version; all the rest are 4K and much faster. (Yes, my wife just complained about this 5 mins ago.)

Go to the Amazon app store on your phone or PC and download the app to your Firestick from there. If the Firestick is still registered, it should be on the list of download devices under whatever name you gave it.

I just ordered a 4K Max for $30, so when that arrives it should solve the speed. In the meantime...

Interesting ploy. Shall try that.

Edited to add: that strategy does not appear viable since all of my Fire TV devices (of which I have none) already have a green check next to them. All my FireTV Sticks (of which I have 3 online right now) show a red X. Nevertheless I tried sending the app to them.
